1-1/2 lbs ground chuck
1/2 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup crackers or bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped green peppers
1/3 cup flour
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 (13-1/2 oz) can pineapple chunks
2 Tbsp. corn starch
Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, salt, into balls. Roll in flour and brown in shortening. Pour off fat. Drain pineapple, reserve syrup. Add water to syrup to measure 1 cup total. Blend liquid and cornstarch in a saucepan, stir in vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Cook until clear then add peppers and pineapple chunks, and meatballs. Simmer for 2 hours.
